When choosing safety footwear is of utmost importance that the footwear is suitable for the current working environment and it provides the user with sufficient protection and comfort.

Relevant standards

ICM is a distributor of safety footwear primarily from Steitz Secura and Sievi. All models are approved to the following standards:

EN ISO 20345: Safety Footwear (Class S)

Footwear with steel nose, resistant to pressure of 200 Joules, protects against compression (15,000 Newton)

EN ISO 20346: Safety Footwear (Class P)

Footwear with steel nose, resistant to pressure of 100 J

EN ISO 20347: Working footwear (Class O)

Footwear without steel nose, designed for professional use

According to EN20345 S footwear is being tested against a number of properties where the standard specifies a minimum requirement. Which exact requirements the shoe fulfills can be seen from the table. To facilitate the labeling of the footwear there are some safety classes, which covers different properties.

Within each safety class the footwear may also have the following optional features:

• Oil and chemical resistant soles
• Insulated against cold, CI< /div>
• Insulated against heat, HI
• Protects against heat 300 ° C HRO
• Conductive, max. re sistance of 100 kOhm, C (ESD)

The symbols are common to all three standards, but there exist individual cla ss requirements, and when labeling the shoe the S is replaced with a P for EN 20346 and O for EN O 20347.

More features will eventually stop functioning, if you do not maintain your footwear. Remember to clean the shoes and to use waterproofing, shoe polish or leather fat.
